Today, I wandered through the ancient landscape of Drenthe with my cousin, the forest ranger.

It was a magnificent day.

These trees arranged in a circle were truly impressive. The old mother tree in the center is gone; what remains are the shoots from that mother tree, connected underground. They share the same DNA.
